What was this episode about?
First off, let me just say yes, I know I skipped any review of season 3. I loved it. That’s all you need to know for now! Now let’s get into season 4! The first episode (this one) came on April 23rd, 2017. So the basic breakdown of this episode is we find out that Richard is not happy developing the video chat app that they last season ended with them doing. He suddenly decides he basically wants to create a new internet and decided to quit working with all his friends.
Did I enjoy the episode?
Yes! The comedy is still spot on, even this many seasons in. I really enjoyed the new direction of the show and look forward to seeing where it’s going. I typically make predictions early on in a season but I really don’t know right now. I think we will see Richard struggling to build his new idea and I would imagine he will eventually try to bring the rest of the gang over to help him. But then what happens to the video chat? How are they going to keep it interesting for two story lines like that at once? Let’s wait and see!
Should I watch this show?
In my opinion, if you enjoy funny shows and/or shows about the tech industry this yes, you should. Even if you just enjoy some solid writing and pretty great acting you should absolutely check it out as well. The show is TV-MA so make sure to keep that in mind.

Today we dive into the fifth episode of Superstore, I just had to watch and blog about this episode to see if it continued to deliver the comedy that the previous 4 episodes have so far! The episode just came on tonight and I am excited to get started, so let’s do it…
Before the opening title sequence I had already laughed twice. That’s saying something. In the first few minutes Glenn is trying to let everyone feel emotion and he really steps it up with the funny. He had me laughing during their meeting as well. The chemistry between Dina and Glenn really evolved in this episode, I think that’s going to be a fun duo to watch! In this episode we go introduced to Amy’s daughter, her acting is just like Amy’s, very good job! Dina’s line ‘Got ya you gorgeous piece of garbage’ was probably the funniest of the episode up until that point. Dina has really stepped up her comedy game this episode, she really shined! To be fair, Glenn also stepped up his game this episode too. Jonah in the restroom was hilarious, I laughed so hard. The customer in the main story line is so accurate it hurts.
Between the few story lines that are active in this episode every one of them is very funny. This episode kept up the same quality of comedy and store as the previous episodes. The actors are really coming into their own on this show! VERY impressive and a very good show! If you aren’t watching this show yet you really need to!

Today I am taking a look at the show Real Rob. It’s a series that follows Rob Schneider’s life as he navigates through his work life and his personal life. I at first thought that it was a Netflix Original but it seems it doesn’t carry that Netflix Original logo so apparently it’s not. It has one season up right now with 8 episodes. So let’s get into it…
So I went into this show not really knowing what to expect, I haven’t read any other reviews on it or really read anything about it. But when it started I could tell it was almost in the same vein as Seinfeld in that it boggles back and forth between some of his standup and the show. That said, I did enjoy this show and found it very funny. It’s a different kind of humor and it really works in this episode. The chemistry between Rob and the stalker guy is very good, they are great on screen together. The acting is very nice and the writing is good as well. The jokes are funny enough to make you laugh and keep you entertained throughout.
In conclusion, yes, I think this show is definitely worth watching! Check it out!
Today we will take a look at the episode of Superstore that just came on at the time I am writing this blog. I wanted to live blog it (even though the blog will release a few days after) and see if the fourth episode kept up the momentum of the first three and stayed as fun, good and entertaining. So let’s take a look…
The episode starts with all our characters in the break room, inner dialogue between them all. Jonah has dug himself a pretty hefty hole in the first 3 minutes of the episode. I must say, based on the first 5 minutes, it’s just as hilarious as the previous episodes. Let’s keep watching and find out if it continues to hold up. This episode is the first time Amy has admitted to Jonah that she is married and has a kid. Then, Glenn, the store manager, offers to adopt Cheyenne’s unborn baby. Then, Dina throws her hat in the ring to adopt as well, for a pretty odd reason that you’ll have to watch the show to hear about. Apparently, according to Jonah, humans hold bananas wrong and he is pretty upset about it when people bring it up, especially when teasing him about the mannequin looking like him. Okay a few minutes into the episode and I was laughing very, very hard. Jonah had taken the mannequin that looked like him and tried to shove it in the cardboard baler and it had broken it and caused the alarms to sound. Glenn, the store manager, went back there to check it out and he say the feet sticking out and was screaming ‘you monster’ to Jonah trying to yank it out…he thought he had tried to shove a person in there. HILARIOUS! There is another hilarious scene with Jonah and a mannequin but I will not describe that one, but it made me laugh out loud as well.
So in conclusion, the answer is YES. This episode was just as if not more funny than the previous 3! If you aren’t watching this series you are missing out!
Today we take a look at the show called Superstore that is set to debut on January 4th, 2016 on NBC. The first 3 episodes were available to watch prior to the debut though and I thought I would check them out. The show follows a group of employees in a fictional big-box store called Cloud 9. It shows their interactions with each other at the workplace, their interactions with customers and how life working there is. A great concept that should be very fun to watch, especially for those that have lived it. And boy, what a deep well to pull content from, it’s a cornucopia of material to chose from.
The show has a very funny overtone and it seriously had me laughing throughout. Anyone that has ever worked in retail can relate to the show and would probably enjoy it. Some of the best moments of the show is the interaction between Garrett and Jonah, they have fantastic chemistry acting together. The acting is very well done, the characters are likable, the story is great and the concept is fantastic. I have to say based on the first three episodes I would definitely say give the show a watch if you like this type of humor!
I decided to check out this Netflix Original special from 2015 and see what I thought of it. I am a fan of watching stand up comedy so blogging about it only seems to make sense when I watch it. I am blogging this as I watch it (which is a bit different than I normally do it but something I wanted to try) so if it seems spacey, that may be why. At the moment we are three minutes in and while it’s been somewhat funny I haven’t laughed out loud yet. Not that it’s been bad so far, just no huge laugh moments to me. At this point he is talking about signs and how they are funny. The first laugh out loud moment was a little over 5 minutes in when he is talking about Turkey. Good start for the special so far. The hairless cat segment is pretty funny as well. Best joke so far: ‘I have an L shaped sofa, lower case’. The elevator bit was also pretty funny. The prune juice bit is actually pretty clever, not really funny but very intelligent. The French segment made me laugh out loud again. So 14 minutes in and we have had two laugh out loud moments so far. Not too bad, let’s keep watching.
So the next laugh out loud segment was the ‘uneducated guess’ bit. That’s about 17 minutes in. The jokes are consistently good so far, I would say the majority are hysterical but they are consistently good. A little update, 27 minutes in and from the last laugh out loud moment til now it’s been 10 minutes and the material seems to have degraded, it’s still decent but not in the ‘good’ category at this point. Let’s keep watching…
The next laugh out loud moment is the bit about saying shotgun when you are eating rice and you have to sneeze, that’s about 35 minutes in. That was the first time I have laughed in quite some time during this special. Let’s see how the rest of the special goes, it’s a bit over half way through now. So now we are 48 minutes in, the jokes have been decent, not quite consistently good in this last half but decent. There hasn’t been any laugh out loud moments since around 35 minutes in though. So near the end of the special he has brought out the harmonica and the guitar, let’s see if this improves the special for the ending…
So to answer that previous question, not really. No more laugh out loud moments. I would say the special is not quite good but decent, I didn’t hate it but I don’t regret watching it.
So after watching the season finale last night I figured I would write a blog to wrap up the Scream Queens writing for this season. I shared my love for the series in my blog about the first nine episodes and that continued right through the rest of the episodes of this season. Yes, I now a lot of people are saying the finale wasn’t great, a lot of people are saying the season tanked in both content and numbers. But I disagree, I disagree completely. Like always, this does contain spoilers so if you haven’t watched yet, don’t keep reading.
The series was amazing, it was fun, it was climatic, it was written well, the acting was great. There was only one small element I didn’t like about the first season (which I will address later), the rest was leaps and bounds better than most things out this year. To see this compared to Glee sincerely makes me disgusted. This show was fun while still being intelligent but not series enough to be full of itself. Sure, it had a lot of cheesy moments, but that’s the point. There are quotes from the show that are just outright hilarious. In the finale episode the scene with Chad and Denise is just outright hilarious, I laughed a lot at that one. The killers revealed finally, saving Hester to be the mastermind behind it all, was enough of a shock to make and keep the show interesting throughout the series. I loved that Pete was involved in it because I had called that from early on.
So, with all the great things about this show there was one thing that I didn’t like. I didn’t like that they had the story all tidied up into a neat bow with content, happy viewers (in my mind) and then they put in a final scene with a Red Devil again. Now, I know most ‘scary’ shows have to go out with a sort of scare but we clearly heard Hester say her Red Devil days was over (and she didn’t really do much of the Red Deviling as it was), yet, we have to assume that’s her there to make sure the Chanels don’t enjoy their punishment. I dislike this for two reasons, one it’s too much of a cliffhanger type scenario for a series that I assume won’t be a season to season story. And second, because it makes it too obvious that the ones accused of the crime weren’t the actual criminals.
That being said though, what a GREAT show! If you didn’t watch it, do yourself a favor and do so now!

South Park Finale
So in today’s blog I wanted to talk about one of my favorite new series on TV right now….Scream Queens. A show that I did NOT expect to like as much as I do. We are nine episodes in and have four episodes to go in this season so I wanted to do a quick blog to share my thoughts thus far. This blog is releasing just a few hours before episode 10 airs. But here are my thoughts so far…
So this started out beautifully, the not-so politically correct humor made it so fun to watch that I was instantly drawn in. Then, I realized the story I was watching develop was a great one! It does follow the guidelines of one of my favorite horror movies of all time, Scream, in that you are left guessing who the killer is constantly. And I love the way that is accomplished in this show! From the first episode I have been making guesses, arguing with friends who the killer might be and then changing my mind based on new info! So, kudos to you writers! There are only 4 episodes left in this season and I still only know for sure the two killers that have been revealed, the third killer I still don’t know. I have heard many guesses and have a guess myself but I really don’t have anything to back it up except hunches. And this is a great thing! When a story leaves you guessing this long into the arc it’s a good sign they have written it well! The corny, raunchy and down-right hilarious jokes littered throughout the series are incredible. There isn’t really anything about this show that I don’t like, except I can’t figure out how they will do a second season unless each season is a stand-alone story, or structured like American Horror Story, which I wouldn’t be opposed to.
So yes, watch this show if you haven’t!
