The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 8 (Mid-Season Finale)

Okay, so, the mid-season finale is over and I just wanted to do a quick blog with my thoughts. With everything that’s happened already in the season, from the Glenn fiasco to the Morgan backstory and everything else, I truly had no idea what direction they were going to go in the mid-season finale. I half expected to be introduced to Negan or a new character to move the story into a new direction for the second half of this season. That didn’t happen (unless it was on that extra scene that was during that other show that I don’t watch).

The episode was good, it was intense, a couple of my favorite scenes were when Maggie narrowly escaped the walkers, the scene where Deanna was screaming near the end. That was probably one of the more haunting scenes from The Walking Dead since it’s inception. I did enjoy the talks with Michonne and Deanna as well as the talk with Glenn and Enid. I’m very worried about Morgan and Carol and what the Wolf escaping means for the guys.

All that being said, I do have to admit this episode ended and I still didn’t feel like that big moment had happened yet. Not that that’s a bad thing necessarily, there were plenty of cliff hangers, plenty of questions unanswered and plenty to lead us into the second half. So I’m not upset, in fact, I’m quite excited to see where it goes from here! And yes, they brought back the covered in guts walking through Walkers bit! I loved it! Kudos, hats off to everyone involved in the show, great first half of the season!
